“Even if our country goes into lockdown, there will always be parcels to bring around. Many of our shipments are for hospitals and contain medical supplies. It has to get to its destination and that’s what we couriers are there for.”
“I was on the track yesterday. These are special times. Now we all wear gloves and use disinfectant wipes. After every delivery we disinfect ourselves. We explain the alternatives to customers who no longer wish to sign on arrival. Most of them appreciate all these safety measures. A few of them laugh, but that’s because they don’t realize the gravity of what’s happening to us yet”.
“When I’m not on the job, I’m deployed as a receptionist and help solve any problems that may arise with shipments or customers. Driving around now feels very strange. There is much less traffic, you feel that normal life has come to a standstill. I hope to be able to continue working. If I can make a difference with that: I’d love to.”
