Love at work

couple

On average, we spend quite a lot of time with colleagues, whether in the office or remotely. Not very surprising, then, that relationships develop at work. You would almost think that a relationship in the workplace always causes hassle, but fortunately it often goes well.

Cupid and his arrows

You see it especially around Valentine’s Day, hearts with an arrow through them. So where did this custom come from? The story goes that if you were hit by an arrow from Cupid, you would fall in love with the first person you met afterwards. The next DHL couples you will meet have fallen for each other like a log, and are therefore highlighted today, 14 February 2023.

And here they are… Our lovebirds…
Love

We met in 1999 within DHL Express. Rudy was a courier in Diegem and I was working on WPX/REC. Since I was 29, had no children and no relationship, Rudy thought there was something wrong with me. But that idea didn’t play in his mind for long, as we also started to meet up outside work. Soon he invited me to the DHL Express Christmas party together and that’s where the spark struck. Ten years later, we got married and are still happy. The secret? Ask Cupid and his arrows. Just kidding! Always be honest and respect each other.

Positive influence!

Even though we all know that a relationship at work can also carry risks, these couples prove once again that it doesn’t always have to be that way. So definitely don’t let anyone tell you that a relationship at work is ALWAYS a bad idea.

If your relationship is going well, it may even have a positive impact. Your workplace suddenly becomes a lot more fun! Incidentally, you also learn a lot about each other’s character and ambitions through a shared job.

“What an Xmas party can all lead to. You happen to meet a cool colleague in a different context and the magic did the rest .A marriage and 2 beautiful kids followed.”
