We noticed that there has been a lot of confusion when it comes to the differences between a DHL Express and a DHL eCommerce label. Many customers aren’t sure when they are receiving a DHL Express or a DHL eCommerce package and who they should contact when they have a question about their shipment. We summed up the difference between a DHL Express label and a DHL eCommerce label below.
DHL Express label
- The lower barcode always starts with (J)JD
- The upper barcode always starts with Waybill and 10 digits (never letters)
- DHL Express packages can be dropped here
DHL eCommerce label
- Lower barcode always starts with (J)VGL
- Upper barcode also always has a format with letters and numbers
- DHL eCommerce packages can be dropped here
